April 30, 2009 | In: Events, Meeting, WNYLUG, WorkShop

We have a few things planned for the upcoming month of May.

Our next few meetings will be focusing on Virtualization as it seems to be of interest throughout the group.

May 13 2009 – WNYLUG Monthly Meeting

– Presentations

  • VirtualBox and Parallels – Presented by Frank Pirrone
  • VMware – Presented by Neal Chapman (Time permitting)

– Announcements

– Open Floor

May 16 2009 – WNYLUG Workshop / Open House (9:00am to 3:00pm)

This open house event is being held to assist with Linux issues and to review topics we discussed at previous meeting

If you have issues with Linux bring in your laptop or desktop (monitors, keyboards and mice will be provided so you can leave yours at home) and we can take a look at it.

Installs can also be performed if you want to try linux out. (We are offering installations of Ubuntu and Fedora distros)

Break-out groups covering various topics of interest will be held by individual members with something to share.

Donuts and Coffee will be provided in the morning and Pizza and Pop will be provided around lunch time.

I assume this will be held at the same location as the general meetings.
