While were playing what-if, (listed for consideration), for historical
import:

C
Forth
BASIC
Pascal
COBOL
Fortran
add to this list

for import on the Web:

PHP
add to this list

more modern than most of the above:

Perl
Python
Ruby
Ajax
Java
Javascript
add to this list

and...with sufficient planning...each language is demonstrated with the
same programming task. This would really have to be spelled out in
detail, and/or written in one of the (reference) languages (BASIC?) for
the presenters to duplicate.

This topic could potentially span a number of meetings, and involve a
number of members. Should appeal to those who are simply users, and IT
professionals/programmers alike.
