Ok, in this case, I think I will stay with Debian for using Qmail.

Actually, the SuSE people decided to move away from the init runlevel
scripts to  another method (systemd).
As usual, they screw up things such, it is hard to tell how the system
is actually working (remember the famous yast).

Whether 64 or 32 bit doesn't make a difference.
